Winter 2024
Ole' / OLLI Course
Stretch Your Skills with Photo Assignments
Facilitated by T. Bart Quimby
Two sections of the course were held during this term. The work of both sections are shared here.
Each week, class members uploaded their images to a Dropbox by Monday night. The images were placed in Powerpoint presentations that were shown in class. Links to each week's presentation are below.
You can also access the slides via the OLE course materials. Click here to get to the Ole page.

Spring 2024 Assignments
Each week, class members are asked to upload ONE thoughtful/stunning/tasteful image that meets the assignments given below. If you upload more than one, I will pick which I like best and show that during the main presentation. Any additional images will be shown at the end of the presentation (if we have time!) but won't be discussed as thoroughly as the image chosen for the main discussion.
If you wish to have your image captioned, please rename the image file to include the caption before you upload it.

Week 1 (2/13/2024 and 2/14/2024)
The challenge is to find a creative way to tell something about yourself photographically. The only requirement is that some part of you be in the image.
The image must be taken after you receive the assignment and before the due date. Creative post processing is encouraged for those of you who know how to use your photo editors (either on computer, tablet, or mobile device).
Feel free to see what others have done in the past (see links above) or do a web search on "creative self portraits" for ideas.

Create a captivating image of a tree,
trees, or a part of a tree.
Trees are often supporting characters in images however, for this assignment we
